December Update Is Almost Upon Us

The December version update is almost here. As before it seems SE is splitting the update up into two parts. The first part tonight will begin downloading animations and armor models (most likely) but won’t bring in any details of anything like quests, missions, genkai, etc.

So with that in mind, I won’t even begin to speculate what the genkai will be or anything else. People will dat mine it when the second part comes. And everything else will be released with the official patch notes.

All I’ll really say is that I hope Bastion will be updated so that either people will become interested in doing it or that fewer people can do it and still win. The easiest solution to do this is to just make it so we can accumulate resistance ops credits like we do with campaign ops. 7 Ward Wardens back to back would beef that martello up enough to make it so we can actually win even if there’s only one or two people doing Bastion.

Other than that.. yeah. I’ll make another entry in the future after the second part of the update.

I tried bastion, I caught the tail end of one battle and then nothing happened for ages all the while time was ticking away. It really felt like I was loosing more than I was gaining.

Unfortunately that CAN happen sometimes. Unlike campaign however, the battles are not quite as random as you would think at first glance. The dude you get the pennant from will tell you the current status of the three verges. The percents go up, I believe it’s 3% or 4%, every minute. When the %s hit 100% a battle WILL start (usually within 30 seconds of it hitting 100%).

The guy in Jeuno (Horst? I think that’s his name) will tell you the %s of each verge in each zone too if you ask him to. That way you can check to see if a battle will begin there soon without standing around wasting your Abyssea time.

But I do agree that sometimes it can be very, very annoying when the %s on each verge are really low (usually when all three verges attack at the same time and the battle ends and they have to build back up).

Oh I didn’t realise that’s how it worked. That’s helpful thx. It seems to me there ought to be a teleport back to Jeuno mechanism….. in the same way you can get back to your city after a campaign battle.

I completely agree with that. It’d be nice to have a quick warp back to Jeuno.
